Mithuna, you're one strange bird. Maybe someone much more intelligent than I can figure out what the hell it is you're driving at with your posts. All I can discern is extreme defensiveness when your naivete and inexperience is exposed. Never mind that people are trying to be helpful to the dog...Thinking

I realize you think your dog is quite exotic and exclusive, what with her linebreeding on Uncas and all, but her build type as a puppy does not mean she cannot be held to the same standard of FITNESS that others can (and should). You just haven't the first clue about what we're talking about/seeing in her physique and what concerns us, and you apparently never will.

Here, I'll try to explain it this way; I'm a small, short, white woman. Does that mean I cannot look at a tall, black woman and say she's in better (or worse) physical shape than I am? Of course not. Condition is condition, regardless of bone and stature. What do you mean, "no need to compare"? Of course there is. I'm trying to show you a dog in proper shape, without excess ripples around the neck, extra weight in her chest pushing her front legs apart and east/west, and show you an example of a healthy weight for a young, growing dog.

Your puppy is simply normal (looks and bone) for her bloodlines. Nothing that crazy or hard to understand about them. That's how DDR puppies look. Czech puppies look different often times, as do W. German puppies. None of their "look" has anything to do with judging their fitness. I'm glad your dog makes you happy but I wish her size weren't so tightly wound into your ego, for the sake of her health.

p.s. If you are indeed trying to compare your dog to Veronika, then I'd say equal AGES and positions would help immensely. In the first pic, Veronika had just arrived from Germany at 10 weeks.

Jenni

I like dogs with a build like the one below :   Miky z Tresnaku. Is he fat?

That picture of Miky is deceptive. To me, yes, he looks fat in that... but I *believe* that was taken at a show, and he had his coat blown out prior... that's a process that will make any dog surprisingly fluffy and look fat, 'til you put your hands on them. I may be wrong, but I know his owner, and I can't see her ever having a dog that wasn't in pique condition.

More Miky, from various sources.

*pictures are not mine*
