AKC or CKC?  I have not one but THREE CKC Dogs.  And I liked the first two so much I bought a puppy from this years litter and was LUCKY to get him!  All my GS are FULL SIBLINGS  thats how much I like and Value my dogs.  I don't believe in putting merit on a PAPER.  But I wanted to insure I got a purebred and went and viewed the parents and also the reviews from Numerous past customers.  Perfect Dog?  YOu Bet!  Raven will do anything I ask of her.  On or Off the leash.  She was an easy to train puppy.  If I HAD to find a fault with her I just wouldnt.  I was very upset about a post I saw on her and it looks like the admins LOcked it.  Otherwise I would comment directly to the post.  Back yard Breeders.  Here is my view if they dont overbreed the female I dont have a problem with it.  I dont worry so much about bloodlines, or this dog has AKC papers or his parents did this or that and won this or that.  My dogs are not an object of political affection.  They are the apple of my eye.  And thats all that matters to ME.  Since they are my dogs that is who matters.  .....ME  In fact the best dog I ever owned was a GS that was CKC and she was flawless in my opinion.  There is just too much emphasis put on PAPERWORK and not enough on the character of the dog.  Which is of far more importance to me then a bunch of names scribbled on a peice of paper and endoresed by the AKC.  My dogs mother is registered both AKC/CKC and her father is CKC.   I bought my dogs because they were not overpriced.  I liked the look and reviews I saw of past litters.  And the breeder has loads of customer service and personality.  This is why I am a REPEAT customer.  I wll be adding more dogs to my pack and they will come from the same breeder.  Since she is what a lot deem a backyard breeder.  I will not divulge the breeders name nor information.  As I don't feel she should have to deal with the onslaught of unnecessay comments that even the admins in here have deemed necessary to LOCK the post.  And In my opinion if someone is looking for or wants a dog like the one they used to have with the same bloodlines more power to them.  As for chastising someone who is in a rescue why they dont rescue.   Perhaps you should look in your own kennels and see just how many rescues you have put in there lately?  I went the rescue route.  After several dogs I opted to buy puppies rather then stress a dog and myself that didnt work out.  So I could develop with my puppy as it grew and we could establish a rapor, bond, and grow and learn together and from each other.  BTW I consulted with my dog and she doesnt care about bloodlines or papers either.   I am not a breeder.  I am an GS lover, and enthusiast.  My dogs are nuetered and spayed.  They have all shots, And are mircrochipped.  They have a huge fenced yard, Plenty of shade, dog houses and get exercise reguarly.  They eat a well balanced meal but MOST of ALL my dogs get LOVE.  Before you reply with the kind of comments that that CKK girl had to endure.  Remember for me to VALUE your opinion, just thats just what it is.  i actaully have to CARE.   Since you are NOT part of the equation with me and my dogs and my life.  Therefore, your opinion is obsolete.  Thanks in advance.

Interesting rant, welcome to PDB, however, let me ask, if you do not care about anyone's opinions, if you are not looking for answers to any questions, why would you bother with this post? The ONLY reason I can think of is that, like a bowel movement, it can be cathartic.

Thanks for the Welcome.  I saw the post that the admins have LOCKED.  That girl WAS looking for help and what she got was a public flogging by several Cyber Bullies  Execution Style.  I don't have any immediate questions at the  moment.  And to address your question of bothering to this post.  Why would admins bother to LOCK the other post?  Instead of replying themselves, monitoring, or asking for people to have some more tact and refrain from such harsh opinion/advice?   Funny how your refer to bowel movements.  Since that thought went thru my mind when I read the post by CKK and saw the abundance of diaherra flowing from the mouths of replies and lack of Toilet Paper to clean up their act.  I feel for that girl and any thin skinned newcomer.   As for Me I long ago learned how to detach, hold reserverations when it comes to others opinions.  Simply considering the source,  and thus leaving them stupid.  As with all things on the internet.  If you fire up the keyboard.  Be prepared to become a "target" as a prime example of what has happened to that girl, CKK.

Is that so? Then why have you emphasized your dogs being registered with CKC? Does that make them better than AKC dogs?

That is sickening, sorry you feel it is acceptable to even be a backyard breeder.

I guess you also aren't too concerned with health and temperament as well. But at least ya got a good deal!

@ the op, Nice. You Certainly haveput everything about pdb into perspective. Its nice to see that ckk is allowed to come back with another screen name, and all the things you outlined got a thumbs up from admin. They love you:-)

Ahh, so, your intentions then were purely "honorable", you had no "axe to grind", you joined today to simply defend an innocent victim, you became the mythical "knight in shining armor", the defender of those without toilet paper and the pour defenseless souls...now I understand completely and I thank you for clearing that up. 

BTW, op and your supporter, the name of this site is PEDIGREE Data Base, so if pedigrees and quality control for breeding dogs is not of any importance to y'all, then why come to a Pedigree site?

Dont need an axe to grind.  I can see your bent on trying to do some grinding yourself.  As for CKK I dont know the girl.  Or countless others that seem to be "under the gun" on here so to speak. I have been a viewer for awhile now.  Glad you finally get the concept.  I was getting a lil worried there Hired Dog..shew....As for Backyard Breeders.   There are breeders for all walks of life. Yes! Let us all rejoice and assist the ignorant on their journey to a BYB, for it is only the dogs who will suffer from their poor ethics. But who cares? They will be over 100lbs, have big heads, and will be sable!

There is nothing wrong with her you yourself wanting a dog for a pet. It seems you both take good care of your dogs.

However, procuring your new pet from a BYB is what people on here have the problem with. Every time you make a purchase with them, you "vote" so to speak. They probably wouldn't be breeding dogs if customers stopped rolling in.

People and myself are being harsh because we are dealing with an ANIMAL. I do not support breeders of any animals I am involved with that are unethical in their breeding practices.

They have really nice newbe here, sounds like a great source of information for this site. Happy trails.:-)
