Eureka vs K-9 Kraving - Page 4

Nan my understanding of canine nutrition does not qualify me to dispense expert advise. There are a lot of people in my area who feed K9Kravings including some of the local veterinarians, I know of two veterinarian practices who sell K9Kravings. My old veterinarian did not like me feeding raw so I asked another veterinarian who told me while she was concerned with some raw diets not being balanced, K9Kravimgs was a complete and balanced diet. This veterinarian who gave me the advice sold the Hills products in the practice she worked in but fed K9Kravings to her own dogs. I am sure I have met over a hundred people who feed K9kravings, some who feed it alone, some who will supplement it with Vertex or other products. The manufacturer has reassured me that you do not need to add supplements. I add goat milk and puppy structure to it when my dogs are young puppies. Coconut oil is my most often used additive but I will also use Vertex depending on the individual's activity and I will add things such as blueberries or macca for variety. The out of the package consistency seems to be fine for my dogs unless I add powder. I love the coat condition, the overall health and vitality of my dogs and the stool is better than anything produced from my previous dogs before I started to feed raw.

Thanks Markobytes, the price is definitely right for the K9 Kravings and I surely cannot make it myself for their price.  Just wanted to know if you feel it to be everything these big guys need.  Since you have fed it for so long you have probably grown up a lot of dogs on it as well as senior dogs.  Will look into ingredients of Vertex also, I know other on this forum recommend and use it.  Thx for your into.  Nan

Yes I probably will get the book, however am still looking for the perfect diet;  as even Jean Dodds book is only a guideline.  Thx for sharing that info on the book though, will try to order it.  Nan

No one is more dedicated to producing the Best Quality dog food possible then K-9 Kraving owner Bob Barrett.I met him 15 years ago while working dogs at his farm and that was one of his concerns we talked about.And in my opinion he has definately met his goal.Dog food is like alot of things,everyone is going to have their opinions, but the Proof Is In The Feed and the results of feeding it.Take time and go through the links on his web site and see everything that goes into it.And there's a USDA Inspector on site Daily to inspect it.How many dog food companies can state that? None as I know of.
