We have had our working dogs on pet plan for several years now.  Looking for different options and curious as to what companies others use or would recommend.  Thanks.

http://petinsurance.com   has been awesome with me for my dogs.

they even pay a set amount for the euthanesia and cremation.

My 11 year old last year in January had a $1500 claim.   Minus the initial $500 annual deduction, then 80/20, The refund was a little over $700 thereabouts.   Then she had something in March, from then on everything was 80% covered.   She needed an ultrasound a few months later, which was $300, again 80% refunded.   She now gets pain management acupuncture, chiropractic and as long as this is done by a licensed DVM its been covered.   They also cover medication.   Ck out their policies .  I have the major medical ones on my dogs.  The few dollars you save on the other ones is not worth the difference in coverage.

Ex: the monthly pmt for the 11 year old is $47, the monthly cost for the 6 year old is $30 and for the 5 year old $24.

This coverage gives me peace of mind.   It won't cover pre-existing or some hereditary issues such as Pannus common to the GSD, but, that should not stop you.   But if your dog gets cancer or needs expensive surgeries or treatments at emergency clinics (been there done that) well, you'll be glad you have this.

They pay/refund within 30 days and you can submit by taking pics of the invoice, download their pre filled out one page simple submission form, fill  out two lines and you don't even need a vets signature as the invoice is verifiable.   Then you email it to submitmyclaim@petinsurance.com

I have also used VPI for the last 12+ years without issue.  I did receive quotes from other companies a year or so ago but in the end decided not to switch.  To be honest, I just didn't want to hassle with it and try something new.  I'm a creature of habit and have been fairly happy with the reimbursement.  They are very quick at processing claims...I usually have reimbursement within 10 days of submitting a claim.

Healthy Paws is also awesome. I have the plan where I get 90% back.

Wanted to add - it is $250 deductible. I pay $40 per month deducted from my checking. If you want to give me your address I can send you a referral and you and I both get a discount (refer a friend)
