pedigree opinions - Page 1

Hi just found a potential future GSD pup. I'm interested to learn what other's that are more informed than I think of the matting of these to GSD's.

Sire:VA2 (NASS) Ricco von der Zenteiche

Dam:Zornig Omela

I'm hoping to locate a pup to train in personal protection work and really hope to find what I'm looking for with this matting. Mother from what I've been told is a Serbia import.

This appears to be 2 - 3,4 breeding on Vegas du Haut Mansard

Too close of a breeding for my linking - could potentially (but not necessarily) result in dogs with some genetic problems.

Both sides are also West German Show Lines - it is possible to get a personal protection capable dog out of those lines but chances are very low.

If you indeed have a desire to have a PPD, you should be looking outside of the external appearance of the dogs, and focus more on the working abilities of the parents and dogs in previous generations.

This is just my personal - non expert - opinion.
