What has been your favorite;  do you use a Vit E with any of these oils?

I tried 3 different types of fish/plankton oil with my dog: Salmon Oil, Krill Oil and Sardine Oil

For some reasons my dog could not tolerate salmon and krill oil, so I switched him to sardine oil.

No problems with sardine oil, his hair is shiny and he looks healthy. Sardine oil which I use contains more EPA and DHA than Salmon Oil.

Thank you and where do you find the sardine oil?  Thx in advance  Nan

Found the Sardine Oil also have a mix of Sardine/Anchovy oil.  But which oils do you feel will help an older dog beginning to acquire arthritis?  I was told that Salmon/w Vit E was a natural anti inflammatory.  Wonder if that still holds true?  Anyone know?  And does that apply possibly to the other oils like Sardine/Krill/Fish or do we need to supplement with more than one??  Thx  Nan

My understanding is that you don't need to supplement with 3 different fish type based oils. Just don't use cod liver oil for treatment of atrhritis.

I would just stick to one whichever your dog accepts better and easier.

I am using Nature's Logic Sardine Oil (Norwegian origin)

Little more about Fish Oil and arthritis.

I think for this boy who has been on Salmon Oil/Vit E (400 mg E) 2,000 mg Salmon.  I think I can probably up the Salmon dose and give 2,000 2 X's/day;  I also ordered Arthroplex by Thorne  tablets from Holistic site for him.  We will see if he improves.  He is the boy that is starting OB class this Sat.  But gimpy due to the wreck he was in or I really should say the 2 wrecks he was in.  So am hoping its not going to be too hard for him but need to get back his confidence.  Seems a bit better every week with that but want him to know there are friendly dogs, in control by owners that are not going to get him.  Thx everyone for sharing info  Nan

I had been giving cod liver oil supplements but now I have switched to Virgin Salmon oil Pet daily for my pets. It works well.
