Hello, I am looking into some of the top US workingline kennels, preferably kennels that breed either DDR or Czech, or both. I have never personally met a Westworking line, and know nothing about them, so PLEASE don't bash me for not asking about them. Please list the kennels, and their state, and if you have it, their website link. If you'd like to email me the link, instead of going public, you are MORE than welcome to. So far here are the breeders I have personally dealt with, that I like: Cimmerian German Shepherds (Michigan, I own a pup) Spartanville German Shepherds (Michigan) These are the kennels I have done business with, or personally know, or have contacted, I am looking to add to my list of breeders I like! THANKS GUYS (AND OF COURSE WOMEN TOO!)

Jettasmom, Because I want to educate myself. I want to know of other people's expirances with some fine US workingline breeders. Interested to hear some other people's expirances. GSDFan, Thanks, I've never gone through them, but I hear they breed some "good stuff" too! Thanks so much!

How rude of me! I forgot to mention one of the NICEST breeders I have talked to, Alt Ostland! A very, very nice lady to talk to, has been a wonderful help, and very sweet! Her dogs seem VERY high quality! Sorry I forgot to write you down!

why would you limit yourself to ddr and czech if looking for working line dogs? belgium, dutch, netherlands, and the german (there is no longer an east west split) all breed wonderful working dog? not to mention the numerous american breeders. im not trying to bash at all, im just curious. as for list of breeders, i have compiled places to look for them. http://www.ddrlegends.com/links.html http://www.zutreuenhanden.com/Links.htm http://www.phgsd.net/index2.html in the many searches i have done i always add the links page to my favorites. hope you find it usefull. john

DDR and Czech are just what I perfer. I am looking for American breeders, with the DDR and Czech lines, I don't really want to ship over from a foreign country...yet. Personally, I love the looks of the DDR and Czech, and I have a 50% DDR and 50% Czech bitch right now, and she is the best thing I have ever owned...I am absoulutly in love with her. The only problem is that the breeder is REALLY hard to get ahold of, and I must say, it was scary doing business with him. He is a very nice man, a good breeder, but I'd like a breeder I can keep in touch with.

Blue-Skye Kennels, Now that you state why you are looking at other kennels, I understand. I also like to keep in contact with my breeder and also the people I sold pups to. I just questioned you because why go check out other breeders if you like what you got from the breeders you bought from. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

If you want knowledge on the DDR line, then I would have to say Johnsk9, DDR-DSH, and Sonja Markowski are people that are very knowledgeable when it comes to the DDR lines. Those are the people I know by reading the threads and talking to them in person.

Jettasmom, While I am HAPPY with the puppy I bought from Cimmerian, I am NOT happy with the ability to stay in contact...I RARELY get to talk to the breeder, and he isn't good on the computer so emails dont work. The only way is via Snail Mail, and rarely do I get a responce...He is a nice enough man, and breeds some very good dogs, but he is a pain in the hind-end to get ahold of. Thank god I haven't run into problems with Naya so far, it'd be hellacious to try to get ahold of him!
