On October 18, 2013 I put the SERESTO flea collar on my 13 year old English Springer Spaniel.  Within 30 minutes she started having seizures.  She had never had a seizure in her life.  I rushed her to the ER vet.  Three different vets treated her within a 24 period and none of them could stop the seizures.  On October 19, 2013 she was getting worse and I had to agree with the vet we needed to put her out of her misery.  The vets had run blood tests, X-Rays, IV's and sedatives; nothing helped.  I have to note that all three vets said they had never seen such a severe reaction to a flea collar; but, they would not rule out the collar 100%.  I had only used Frontline on her previous to Oct. 18th.  Personally, I will never put a flea collar on my pets ever again.  I did report this incident to the Bayer company.  The lady I spoke to said they would investigate the lot number of the collar I purchased.  I would like to point out that 2 weeks before my dog had this problem, I had taken her to my vet for her annual wellness check-up.  Her blood tests were good, she had her vaccinations and the vet said she was in good health.

Thank you you for providing this web page for pet owners to voice their experiences (good or bad),
Brenda
