Shelly, Yes I meant Carol. Our Ccatti's mother (Xenia vom Arolser Holz) is a half sister to Carol. Ccatti is super high drive and a sweetheart to boot. Thanks for your good answers and willingness to share information. -Tina

I hate to barge in here, but I just wanted to ask how the temperment in your dogs is (Carol & Ccatti). The female which I am getting in March is half sister to Carol(same sire) and half sister to Ccatti(same dam). Shelly, I dont think I ever got to say thanks for your recommendation when I was looking for a puppy. You gave me the breeders name/website and he is very nice, he recommended me a trained adult female sience this is my first schutzhund dog and I am really excited to get her. She seems like a wonderful dog that has a the whole package. Thanks very much for letting me know about him :))))) Andrea

Ccatti will be going for her BH soon. She is a very high drive and had the nick name of "Wild Child" as a puppy. She is very still high drive but one of the sweetest dogs we have too. She also has an on/off switch on the protection field that is perfect. I'm gonna eat ya on the field, carry the sleeve off and let me give you kisses. She has been complemented by every vet that has met her for her temperament, at our club, and by a national level helper for her protection work. Good luck with yours!

... so how are SV Wardens different from the USA? Are there any SV Wardens in the USA?

Carol (call name T) has about as perfect a temperament as a dog can have. He is plenty hard in the protections work, great with babies, kids, puppies, tractable and affectionate, but Lord help a stranger who would do me harm! He passes his beauty and his drives to his progeny. I have a daughter almost a year old from him that I feel sure I can title by the end of the year to SchH 1. She is very good looking: big gait, nice topline, great expression (wilder than a March Hare ;) She will be shown this year. I am trying to get Carol ready in time for the WDA Nationals in April. He's 6 yrs.old and needs more conditioning (these dogs get fat just looking at food!) but I have been working on him all winter and he's getting closer. We won;t win it, but hopefully we won't embarrass his breeder. :-D Which dog did you get Andrea? Shelley

Shelly, I am going to be purchasing Orenda vom Rittmeister. She was Horst's first choice for me :). Sounds like he produces very nice dogs? Thanks for everything! Andrea

Orenda is a very nice female. I will probably be purchasing another female from him in the near future. I LOVE Gabi and T! I am astounded at the quality and consistency of the puppies they produce together. Typical Arolser Holz... Good luck with your new girl. SS
