Kaiser, the Ursus will be present, in progressively diluted amounts in six (6) recent ancestors. But of course you know that. I guess the true equation has to include the qualities, good and bad, of the other dogs in generations three (3) through one (1) and how well or how poorly they reproduce good traits. And whether they will compliment the good type of the Ursus (if he's the dog you really like) and take away any negatives that he has or has been known to produce. I certainly can't give you a good answer to your question, as all I can do is speculate. Bob-O

it is a mix and match. some pups will come out good, others not so good. Luck is very important too.

it is a mix and match. some pups will come out good, others not so good. Luck is very important too. I think thats the right answer !!! 3-3 Ursus was my luck, with our Olly vom Grauen But there are always other questions, which other bloodlines are available ? mother ? father ?

Bob hit it perfect. I have seen 3,3 Ursus progeny with hooked tails, white chests, white nails. I have also seen some great results. if you are breeding your bitch I would chose a dog that will compliment her shortcoming or accent her strenghts. General question. I have a male that is Yasko male progeny bred with VA female with no Ursus lines. 5,5 Jeck is only linebreeding. Better than many of the Urus linebred dogs I ahve seen in every way. 3 years old Sch2 and explosive movment. I have had GSDs for 30 yeras and typicaly prefer the working lines but they have been ruined by too much 3,2 linebreeding etc
