Hi all,
Most of you probably noticed that I disabled any logins for almost a whole day. That was done to maintain data integrity while moving the data from one database to another.
Lot's of changes where done, including a much higher bandwidth (should be faster and stay fast during any load).
The biggest change is perhaps for our international visitors. The database is now UTF-8 and so will take in any kind of characters from any language. Would be nice if any of our East-European users would try entering some dogs that have characters in their name that was not in the Western Europe character set (8859P1) . Or our Asian users to try some really hard letters
Let me know if you find that something is not working as it should after the change.
Regards
Oli

I just wanted to say that I like the upgrade to the Classified where you can scroll and scroll without having to manually click page to page.

I would like to know how to PRINT the pedigrees. On the old PDB, what was on the screen would print out fairly nice. Even if the lay-out was not perfect, all the info from the page would end up on paper.
Now I get lots of blank pages with some of the pedigree info, but nothing useable.
Is there any way you could bring the print-function back or is it already there and I just don't know where to find it?
Any help/advise is greatly appreciated; I REALLY MISS THE ABILITY TO PRINT
Thanks

Spruell, you can download a free print-to-PDF driver, like CutePDF and use that to turn web pages into PDF files and then print the PDF files. I use this all the time when I try to print a web page and it comes out messed up when printing from the browser. You install the driver, then go to File > Print on the pedigree page, select the CutePDF printer (or whatever one you install), then it will prompt you to save the PDF file (it doesn't actually print, it just requires a printer driver to generate a PDF file). Then you have a saved copy of the pedigree and can print it from any PDF viewer like Acrobat Reader (most people have this installed already). If you want the pedigree to fit on one page, do a Print Preview first and change the Scale.
Example (one of my dogs' pedigrees saved as printable PDF file):

I like the classified feature as well, the only problem that I am having is when you click on an add page it does not return to page you were on but rather goes to the top of the pages. is anyone having that problem or is there a feature I am missing to return to the page I was on?
