This dog was impoted to me Feb2004 everything that could have went wrong has. OB problems at begining hips went bad I tried to fix these prblems Dec.14 2006 the dog turned on me I no longer have the dog to much of a libility. Rinus of Daelenberghutte Kennels imported this dog he new nothing of the dogs background or the person that owned the dogs background You would think someone that claims to be a great trainer would not send you a dog off the street.Seems like he would search threw other kennels or another qualified trainer. In my case he chose not to Rinus says everthing was done in good faith so hes not responsible for what the previous owner told him about the dog. Hes tried to blame everythig on otheir people But hes the one who picked out this dog an this info was not told to me at begining. Iwont no money or anything from Rinus just a lot of my money down the drain. Guess i pay for his mistake Ive heard of otheir complants against him guess these where done in good faith also. I always thout good faith ment you back thing up with your word guess his word is not worth much Theirs more info at www.deryweb.com If your looking for a dog try to find one in driving distance go and spend time with it. Could save you a lot headache an money Derrick Cooper Thanks

Derrick-- It took 2 years for the dog to turn on you? Where is he now?

by VHDOOSEK9 on 17 December 2006 - 01:12

Sorry to hear about your problem. But when a dog is turning on you from the day you got him on...well then maybe we have a problem with the dog or previous handler or the way the dog was trained. But when you have a dog turning on you 2 years later then what we have is a problem with you or the current enviroment that the dog is in. Dogs don't wait 2 years and then just decide to turn on their handler for no reason. I know many that have gotten dogs from Rinus and they have had no problems. Uwe

You posted this same whine a few days ago, and Oli had the good sense to remove it. Here's hoping he does the same with this one.

Derrick, You give the ever wise advise to others to buy within driving distance... So let me ask you this, How much of this do you put on yourself for NOT doing your own homework properly ? And what did you do to this poor dog who suffered the consequences of what appears to be bad decisions on 3 seperate party's, Humans no less, Humans are "supposed" to be the smart ones, in this case seems only the dog had any sense at all, You had an issue with the person who sold you this dog and it Permeates from you now here on this board, Imagine how prevelant that feeling must have been felt by the poor dog, In 2 years you could not bond with this dog ? I don't understand !!!!!

Where is this dog now? I sincerely hope that you didn't continue your stupidity and have him PTS. Pretty easy isn't it to blame everyone else involved. I also hope you do NOT follow the advice about buying a dog within driving distance. Or any other dog for that matter.

Reminds me of this guy who buys an ice cream at Dairy Queen, eats it halfway, and then returns it because it didn't taste good.

Sounds a little like kicking the doctor who delivered your babies because they all turned out to be rotten adults.

I don't know Rinus or you. But a dog turning on you 2 years later. That would lead me to believe that problem was developed by you as far as the dog turning on you. Don't know what problems you had before but THE TURNING ON YOU WAS DEVELOPED BY YOU!!!!! I have worked many dogs in areas that stressed them to the max, ie. explosions going off, on and off helicopters, transport planes. in gun fire, ect. none turned on me and alot were dogs I would not have personally picked for this work. I have worked handler aggresive dogs, but these dogs did not wait two years to try and take a chunk out of me, it was from the start abd after a few "come to Jesus meetings" I was able to work them. But a dog that turns on you after 2 years or even 6 months and not right away. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE THE BLAME FOR THAT!!!!!! Mike
