there are never some Relly bad hips posted on here none of these are my dogs but i figured i would share all the photos are public through the owner aswell and the dogs that have these hips have all bin spayed/neutered and placed in family homes with them knowing hip problems just to provent issues or rages :D
The last set of hips where good on prelims and where OFA rated mild due to sublaxation no DJD noted
this is just for informational purp i know when i was learning hip xrays i only saw good never the bad or the terrifing

#3 is a matter of poor positioning. notice how they are pulling down on the dog's right leg....much more so than the left.
i think this dog might go ofa good if it were positioned correctly.

Thanks so much for posting these examples.
I'd really appreciate it if some kind person would consider providing some commentary on the hips so that I can see if my thoughts are on the right track. I'm not confident enough in my ability to read hips to post my thoughts publicly yet.

number one dog never showed pain but i believe they did a femoral head removal on the second dog the positioning isnt the greatest but thats because the dogs legs physicaly couldent get closer together. i have another one somewhere in my files that im looking to that i thought they where photoshoped XD

This is my dog....she bunny hopped from age of 3 months until she was ovr a year old when we had surgery done...You cannot tell she is missing a hip, she jumps, runs, w/o issues....she does gets into the pool to cool herself and lays on the R side every so often.

Oh, I have some really good ones to show what hips are not supposed to look like!
