And then you have the owners that are diligent in the containment of their pets and yet one day last week, while the owner was at work, the pets escaped by going under the fence, something not previously ever done. The owner then had several heartwrenching days of watching her beloved pets suffer thru antifreeze poisoning. The vet did everything possible but by the time there were symptoms there was to much damage.
It will be a very long time before I get another companion but before I do I will make sure to lay wire on the ground and attach it to the upright fence so that no dog can dig under.
And the "human" that put out the poison? He didnt pick it up soon enough and his own dog got into it.

Oh Minette were these YOUR dogs ?  How dreadful - I was sooo sorry to read
your post, whether they were yours or someone elses; and the poor mutt that
belonged to the moron who left the antifreeze down  ...  absolutely tragic.  RIP
Linda.

Yes hundmutter, I am ashamed to say they were my beloved babys. I failed to anticipate an action that had never occured previously and I am still at a loss as to why it happened this time. They had never made any attempt to get out of the yard, had never tried to go under anything. I learned a hard lesson, Never assume that you know what your dogs will do, they just might fool you.
