Yes come forward with some doggie info on your dog Layka Im sure it would be helpful to you finding a suitable home, and one you will be happy with for her.

Yes Layke. I'm not interested all full here, but try answering some questions like... Does the dog have any training? Get along with other dogs/cats/animals? Get along with children? What would be the best sort of home for this dog?

I don't see anyone as bashing or being bashed, just a lot of concerned people asking concerned questions. This a good thing. It would be horrible to have to give up their your friend to an unknown future. I would take her if I had room. Can anyone else step up to the plate?

I wasn't trying to make them feel bad either...I know they are hurting and I was trying to find a solution that wasn't a permanent loss to both them and the dog.

I sent an e mail quite a while ago. I wonder what's up. Maybe they have dial up and are waiting on phone calls, might be why there are no answers to the posted questions that I also would like to hear about ?

You also have to realize that although it was stated that the dog was 5 years old, that does not necessarily mean this person has owned the dog since birth. How many of you own dogs that were purchased as adults? How many of you have sold a dog? Give the person a break...... There are many reasons a dog may be given up, and moving into an apartment may be the only one this person feels like sharing with the entire world (or anyone who happens to come across this database, is my meaning). Who can blame them with the way people are so quick to criticize and jump all over others on this board!!!! So, if you have a solution and can take the dog, great! Otherwise, shut up, you're probably only making a hard decision more difficult.

VomFelsenhof, I think you are being a bit harsh...at least if your statement was pointed at me...I was trying to help this person maybe not have to give up the dog forever. I was in no way criticizing them. I was trying to throw out an idea that maybe they hadn't thought about..I know its hard to imagine but not everyone in the world is mean spirited. Some of us are kind. I stated I didnt know why they were moving...which meant my idea may not be plausable. To the OP I hope you find a solution. Good luck
