orkies, I think I know what are your apprehensions. Nick had no disease or any health issues. People who have his bloodline in their dogs needn't have any concerns. He is one of the top producers in the last decade. It was plain old age. His head was clear till the last breath it was just his body had grown old and weary.

12 years is definitely an indication of passing from old age rather than hereditary problems! RIP Nick...

12 yrs is a good and long life. It never feels like it's long enough though for those special dogs. Sorry to hear of his passing...he's been in the pedigree of some great dogs of mine.

RIP in Nick. Sending out my sympathy to Koos for the loss of one of the most important dogs in his life.
