I have two GSDs both girls.

One is the mom, 7.5 years old 24.5" tall and 70 pounds.

The other is the daugther 3.5 years old, 25" tall and 75 pounds.

I fast trot them to cover 3.4 miles in 25 minutes every 72 hours, two days rest between exercise.

I ride on a bike.

Is this too muc exercise?

Both are not eager to quit at the end.

Over heating is not the issue as I either wet them well or run in coolest part of the day.

I am more referring to orthopetic consideration.

Both OFA H (good) and E normal.

I'm no expert but I would think what type of conditioning/regiment up to that age has been doing would be the major factor? Or maybe have her run on the grass? My male just turned ten in march and still does pretty much everything. Just a little slower on some things. He's a LC so now that he's older I watch him a little closer for heat. Haven't really been around an older female GSD so not sure if the strucure changes drastically with age and having puppies? (I would think not as long as she is healtyh)

The amount of exercise you describe doesn't sound excessive.  Provided that you keep a close eye out for any stiffness or lameness that might indicate arthritis setting in on particularly the older bitch,  I'd think you are fine to carry on as you are.  Probably this amount of regular running is keeping them both fit enough to stave off any problems, rather than bring problems on.  If either of them do start to limp or want to opt out, you could consider changing the regime to do
'little and often' instead, as that suits dogs who do have arthritis;  but as long as you and they seem happy, in my opinion and experience, you should just carry on as you are.  Go for it.   7.5 yrs isnt geriatric yet !
