I am trying to register my female, whose dam is in this database, but her sire isn't. I am trying to get Ch. Covy Tucker Hill's Monte Alban registered, but every time I try it, it comes up that his parents are not in this database and the sire is. They are Ch. Cobert's Sirocco of Windigail and Ch. Covy's Rosita of Tucker Hill. Any help in this would be appreciated. Or can I just send my female's 6 gen. pedigree to whoever runs this database?? (Covy's Rosita's parents are in tha database)

That is weird. I know Sirocco is in there, I can find him in a pedigree but if I copy paste him in and do a search he comes up no results. Maybe the database is having a little glitch. Try again later...

Evangelina, here is a copy & paste from a few days ago. the first thing that you should do is to see whether you can find any of your dog's missing ancestors in the pedigree database. You may need to type PART of a name or a registration number to find them. If they are missing, the need to registered individually and then linked to each other. Pay no attention to the quotation marks that I use, as they are just uded to separate the character string. Select "Register a Dog" Select "Sex" Enter full name of dog without any titles. Enter registry and number. Insert parents (here's where it becomes tricky). For the "Father's Name"-type "no information about the sire", and for the "Mother's Name"-type "no information about the dam". Enter achievements, if any. Enter work trials, if any. Enter date of birth. Enter HD results, if known. Enter colour. Enter height, if known. Now select "Continue". On the next page you will see "Eighth Step" For the father, it should say "Not Known" For the mother it should say "Not Known". Enter your e-mail contact address and select Register (dog's name) Now, find your dog the same way that you would look for any dog, and select "Ped Update". For Original Parent Information, you will see "no information about the sire". Enter the Sire's name exactly as it is spelled, or perhaps just the first name. You will be given up to fifty (50) choices. Make the correct selection from the choices. For Original Parent Information, you will see "no information about the dam". Enter the Dam's name exactly as it is spelled or perhaps just the first name. You will be given up to fifty (50) choices. Make the correct selection from the choices. Then finish updating the pedigree. To register a dog whose parents are not in the database, you will need to register each dog in the pedigree as "no information about the sire" and"no information about the dam" and use the pedigree update to link them. Evangelina, I had a similar problem a few days ago while registering my dog with a parents name that was in the database but not showing up even when I copied and pasted the dogs name in the space requesting the parents name. Bob-O's instructions are excellent. Then when it asks for sire's name, just put in a partial like Sirocco, then when you get to the next page, it will have a drop-down menu with all of the Sirocco and you can pick which Sirocco is correct. Give it a try! I hope this helps!
