kmaot, It sounds like you are doing many of the right things. But older dogs can and sometimes will injure a pup, even completely unexpectedly. So caution is the best course. The other issue, depending on what you intend to do with the pup, concerns developing confidence in the pup. If you want to do Schutzhund, for example, you want your pup to be as confident and unintimidated as possible. At the age of your pup, it has a long way to go and all situations, with people, places, noise and other dogs should be monitored carefully for unintended consequences.
