I will be getting a dog from this breeder in the beginning of August, the puppies we just born on 6/17. Although I am 100% sure I'm getting the dog from Camelot, no doubts about that, I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten a dog or puppy from this breeder? I like what I see and read on the website, I just want feedback from some owners of these dogs. Thanks!

Since you have already decided I'm not sure your purpose in asking this question unless it is to somehow promote the breeder.

All I can say is to each is own.

For those whose mind is not made up.

With one exception the pedigrees are a mishmash with no clear direction or plan - ex the combination of Stormfront Brawson lines w/ American showlines ( and not great ones at that)!???!

Health clearances and titles are few and far between and the only recent ones are from the SDA program(?) rather than solid working titles from USA WDA SV AWDF DVG or even AKC obedience and tracking titles.

Their program seems built around Camelot's Dark Knight who is the sire and grandsire of thier "stud" dogs. For more information about his breeding go to the top of this page where it says search website click on that and drop in his sire's name Elite Tactical k9 Mace and read the three threads about the dog and this litter that produced Dark Knight.

Short summary - the dog Dark Knight  was a product of an oops litter from a bitch the lady got for free and Mace who she paid $100 for because he was so ugly. Neither dog was titled nor apparently had the capability to be titled as stated by then owner ( who was trying to sell Mace at a profit). Neither dog was health screened at the time of the litter but the owner stated she had sent xrays to OFA yet to this day neither appears in the OFA db. Nor does Mace's sire War.

So as  I stated to each his own.  Surely does make me shake my head  though and wonder what information people do use to make their decisions in buying a GSD.

For me this breeder is just not my cup of tea.

From past bad experiences with DM;  I would definitely be looking for a puppy which has a good health background;  Hips/elbows cerf's;  DM cerf, eyes, cardio, thyroid,  these things are all available to every dog owner and need and ethically SHOULD be utilized to anyone breeding these german shepherds for the breeds protection against all these horrific diseases.  JMO  Good luck  Nan
