Hi,
Never had any interest in Great Danes, and have shown, worked and judged GSD`s for many years - howsever, in the business of our training school, I came across a 7 month old black Great Dane boy that absolutely won me over.   He is the most fantastic boy, and had me totally enjoying every moment with him.
However he went back to his owner after his training period.   It wasnt to be, it was evident that they werent going to put the time in required to have the adult that they wanted.
I got a text last month

"going on hols - he is in the pound, unless you want him, by Monday".

The rest is history.   In my car, over to get him, and he has adorned our property, loved our lifestyle, had complete freedom to be with all customers, dogs and the like - and is generally the kove of my life.   I DONT KNOW WHY   ! ! ! !   I know very litle about them, and would love to know more.   Is thee a really good up to date book that tells me in depth about them, - he is really worth every minute of my time, he has passed easily his KC puppy foundation and his Bronze with me, and is working towards silver - although very slowly ! ! ! !

Hello there, and welcome to the world of Great Danes!!  There are not too many really good books about Great Danes, but there IS one, it's really simple, short, and to the point.  It's called Great Danes- A Complete Pet Owner's Manual.  It's published by Barron's.  But I raise a few Danes, so I know a lot about them, if you have any questions at all about them.. feel free to ask anything!
