Hello, What does FCI rating mean in SV/OFA terms? Like 0/0, 1/1, 2/2, 1/2 or 0/1? Thanx

Hi Sport, according to FCI there are 5 degrees of Hip Dysplasia: A - no signs of HD, the same as "a-normal" in SV B - Nearly normal Hip Joints, the same as "a-fast normal" in SV C - Mild HD, the same as "a-noch zugelassen" in SV D - Moderate HD, the same as Mittlere HD in SV E - Severe HD, the same as Cshwere HD in SV

Thank you so much Aida. In the Czech republic they rate their hips 0/0,1/2 and so forth. What does for instance 1/1 or 1/2 mean?

0/0 stands for A/A - left hip A/right hip A 1/0 means left hip B/right hip A 1/1 is B/B 2/2 is C/C In Czech Republic up to 2/2 is allowed to be used in breeding.

0/0 to 2/2 is the evaluating system used just in Czech Republic, Slovaks used the same a few years ago, nowadays we use the same as SV - it means A,B,C,etc. There is also a difference in age when the official X-rays can be done and evaluated,in Slovakia and Czech Republic it can be done since 12 months of age and it is compulsory - no dog can be used in breeding without having X-rays done.
