I am currently corresponding with a breeder whom I am looking to purchase a dog from.  I inquired about the dogs IPO scores and he told me I was crazy for asking in a very angry tone. Has anyone else ever received feedback from asking a question of this nature?

Smile politely and walk away.

I agree, somethingy sounds fishy.

You actually asked for the scores?!?!

Next thing you will want to see the damn scorebook too!

And I suppose you will even want proof the dog is
FCI registered-anything else?!?!?!?!?  sad

LOL, I agree with the others---RUN!

Let me guess, show line? ;-) I say that in jest, sort of... Sad but true... And not unusual unfortunately. T

Sheesh....no showline....czech dog.....the seller was very rude to say the least...I'm not looking for a dog to put us on the podium...but would like to know the dogs scores and see a video of her working!

Well, if nothing else, leigh, the seller showed you exactly what sort of temperament THEY have...

Run, do not walk, as fast as you can, as far away as you can, from any seller who considers it an imposition for a buyer to ask questions about a dog they are considering for purchase.

If, however, you have your heart set on THIS particular bitch and no other will do, I ask on behalf of the collective list that you NOT post a tale of woe here after you've received the dog you purchased.  I believe we're all getting a bit weary of saying,
"Told you so!"

Or at least *I* am.

Unless he has something to hide he should be proud of the scores. I also would run. If he is hiding that then what else is he hiding.

leigh , you only did what I would advise everybody to do , ask proof of anything , pictures of scorebooks video of working obedience and bitework , full routines , picture of pedigree etc , no matter if its showline, czech or german.
good luck
