Welcome to the 2012 AWDF Championship and Team Challenge!    www.2012awdf.com

Let me be the very first to introduce myself and personally welcome you to the 2012 AWDF being held May 9-13th, in Indianapolis, Indiana! My name is Nate Harves. I am the Training Director of the host club, OG Landshark, and the Event Chair of the 2012 AWDF Championship and Team Challenge.

OG Landshark Schutzhund, Polizeihund, und Rettungshunde is extremely honored and excited to be selected as the host club for the 2012 AWDF. The AWDF has always been an awesome event bringing in huge numbers of top competitors of all breed backgrounds and is routinely the largest entry IPO event in the United States. As individual handlers and breeders we all have our personal favorite breed that defines our passion, however, the AWDF is where we all come together in support of our common passion: working dogs and dog sport! This culmination of so many beautiful and skilled working dogs promises something for everyone, helping to positively promote our breeds, our organizations, our dog sport, and assist in educating the public, ensuring the future for our belief in the absolute need and value in the continuation of the working dog.

An event of this magnitude is as you can imagine a tremendous amount of work and preparation. We are working hard and extremely elated to be offering some things others trials don't, to give the 2012 AWDF that extra touch and mark of excellence. It truly will be a trial you won't want to miss. When we set out on the path to host this event, my mission statement to my team was simple and clear. I wanted the 2012 AWDF to be the very best and would accept nothing less. It is our goal to host a well run and competitor friendly event, professional in every way, with world class judging and quality leadership, focused toward offering competitor and spectator alike an amazing event that is fair and balanced in every way, hugely exciting and entertaining, with high value for the dollar spent, and no detail overlooked. We will accept nothing short of this as a promise to you. We demand of ourselves that every person leave the event and say "That was the best dog trial I have ever been to."

I have personally assembled my team of professionals to oversee certain aspects of this trial. I would like to personally thank each of these individuals for the dedication, work ethic, and extreme commitment they have shown to the success of the 2012 AWDF. Each of them have been empowered to do whatever is necessary to make it right and make it happen, and have been tasked with making the 2012 AWDF the best trial ever. Please allow me to introduce them in no particular order.

Lorna Thomas, Assistant Event Chair
Mohawk John, Catalog and Trophy Coordinator
Charlie Snyder, Website Coordinator
Brandon Wilson, Tracking Coordinator
Lillian Hardy, Tracking Liaison
Jeremy Leming, Stadium Coordinator
Michelle Testa, Trial Secretary
John Sluss, Festivities Coordinator
Kyle Schaefer, Event Security

As part of this top notch world class team, we have brought in for the first time ever in the United States, four foreign judges to judge our event. Handpicked for their impartiality and fairness to offer every competitor their fair chance of retaining their 100 points per phase the same as everyone else, these judges were all selected for their honesty, morals, reputations, and dedicated promise to me personally that no favors existed, no special treatment of any kind, if points taken from one they are taken from them all, best team wins. Period. Our club and our judges are very proud of this commitment to our competitors. As another integral part of our 2012 AWDF event team, take a moment to familiarize yourself with our helpers. They are all top notch and we're excited to offer them to test these dogs. As with our judges, our helpers were selected for their dedication to safely and fairly test the dogs, without bias or agenda, to ensure the very best handlers and dogs have their chance to showcase why they are truly the best of the best.

Enjoy your look through our website. I hope each of you attend in whatever way you can. You have my personal promise that the 2012 AWDF Championship and Team Challenge will be an event you won't want to miss! We'll see you there!
