A friend of mine just lost her 9 month old Boxer pup to heart failure(was a rescue pup). While she's not going to run out & get another pup tomorrow, she'd like to start looking now in case it takes a while. She's had Boxers for years, so not new to the breed & their characteristics. She is looking for an active family pet, doesn't need to be "show/work" quality.
Any recommendations on quality, health tested breeders close to Michigan/Wisconsin?
What's the going price on Boxer pups? Thanks!!

Most of the people who post here are GSD folk, though you never know...there MAY be a few boxer-lovers lurking in the shadows!

I am a Boxer fan, there is a breeder in wisconsin, Chris and Minna Belcher who does the sport. They also have pet quality boxers. Boxnen.com is website. Another one is George and cathy Marko's also in wisconsin Babchett boxers is kennel name. good luck in finding a dog for her.

I know there is an excellent breeder in Island Lake, IL. Don't know the name offhand, but I've trained a few from her and they are WONDERFUL.

You may also try northernpinekennels.com in michigan. They are good friends of chris & minna and also are the training director & founder of blackstar working boxer club. Great people with lots of experience in the breed and successfully train & title their dogs. Kurt

Bachbett working Boxers in Wisconsion. All health tested. Most are SchH titled. Several are working police K9's. All German lines.
