<<<>>> Yes, I totally forgot about vom Daelenberghutte kennels. Sorry Rinus. I bought a female Brittney v. Daelenberghutte from Rinus, was everything he said, she is owned by one of our club members, tough bitch. Also Van Brandevoort kennels. Bought two dogs from Frank Stommels. Both very tough Gipsy Sciffslache pups. Both good price. Paperwork and shipping in order. Frank also follows up on the pups progress. If your looking for very tough, good temperament dogs my choice of the top three would be; 1. Tiekerhook Kennels 2. Brandevoort Kennels 3. Daelenberghutte Kennels While we are listing Kennels/brokers that we have had good dealings with we need to remind the newbies that some of these kennels have dogs that is more suited for handlers with experience training some of these dogs. Again it goes to the person asking themselves as to what type of dog they really want or can handle. Ask questions, get referals, get educated. And above all don't impulse buy. You may see an Ad for a dog that is great but not necessarily one you can control, be honest with your limits. Uwe

"We need to remind the newbies that some of these kennels have dogs that is more suited for handlers with experience training some of these dogs." I agree. It is important not to 'leave it up' to the breeder; research lines, research your needs, be honest with yourself, and seek help when you can. I know for sure that although I love my dog and his work ethics and everything, he could be a disaster in the wrong hands. Hard every which way and a reaction time faster than lightning. I think it's also worth noting that you shouldn't for one second imagine that the breeder is in control of everything. Genes are random, you can get a dog with HD or a dog with poor nerves (in an otherwise great litter)...what differentiates the good breeder from the bad is the breeder willing to help you out with your problems and acknowledge his/her word.

Frank Terhoust Sonja Markowski Koos Hassing - Tiekerhook Kennels Tim and Lori Cruser - vom Willowind David Plank - vom Agassiz all good honest people, breeders that I recommend and would deal with again (others that have been mentioned I'm sure are also trustworthy, just haven't dealt with them personally so no personal opinion good or bad). molly

Suzanne Eviston-von grunheide in WA Anne Kent-Adler Stein in CA Honest, experienced, do helper work so that they know what it looks like to be on the biting end of the dog and aren't just taking an importer's word for it. Bottom line, you need to educate yourself and also let the breeder know what kind of dog you want. Genetics is a crapshoot at times and a breeder can breed an unhealthy dog through no fault of their own. It's how they deal with you then that matters.

I have one dog from Molly Graf (Eichenluft), which I am very happy with. Molly has been more than helpful throughout my ownership of Dugan. My now retired Police Dog "Ando", came from Charlie Oren of TsaLihaus Kennel. Charlie has always been there for me and Ando throughout as well. Ando's previous owner, Joe Gribbens trained Ando his first two years and whenever Joe does breed, I recommend him as well. I recommend these breeders, as they are honest, friendly and trustworthy.

I have to agree with Kim from von Hayden Shepherds. I have delt with D.H (Daniela Huppe) for several years now. Every transaction has been as smooth as the one before it. Quality of dogs sent are at least as good as promised or in most cases better. Like so many other people, I to have spent good money after bad, trying to find that right connection,I cringe to think of the thousands of dollars lost over the years. Daniela has been their for us before the sale, during the sale and of course after the sale. She is always willing to field questions morning, noon and night, regardless if the question had anything to do with a sale made by her or not.As for knowledge of the breed, ins and outs of importing/shipping or having DIRECT connections to most big name Kennels in Germany one will be hard pressed to find someone half as good as her. I have 100% faith in what she says and would suggest anybody not totaly sure of what they are doing to not hesitate and give her a call if in the market for a GSD Anybody with any questions feel free to contact me Best regards, Charlie

I can highly Lida Fleury and Russ Osborn of Whirling Thunder German Shepherds. Very caring about where her dogs go, and keeps in touch with each person who buys a dog from her. www.whirlingthunder.com Another person that goes out of her way, is Nina Heinze at Vollmond German Shepherds. She also is very caring about where her dogs go. www.vollmondshepherds.com Dawn Bonome
