Lately we have heard of all the kennels screwing people. If I was new to this site I would think that you could not buy or import a dog without getting screwed. I have bought many, includeing off this site without problem. So lets try a post of buying or importing a dog where you had a good expierence and got what you payed for. Please so this doesn't turn negative, we all know who recently got bashed and you already defended them if you had no problems yourself, lets leave them out so it stays positive.

Well some of the kennels I've had good business dealing with; Vom Bruderhof Got my Yoschy pup from them. Fair price and exactly what I asked for. Eric v. Bruderhof 7x SchH3, IPO3, 2xFH1, FH2, H.O.T his brother was also from this kennel, Eros v. Bruderhof SchH3 National competitor. Vom Leerburg I got 2 pups from Ed, Querida v. Leerburg and Hansel v. Leerburg SchH1, IPO1. Plus 2 club members got pups from leerburg, who titled their dogs from SchH1 to SchH3. Dogs always were what the breeder said they were. Fair price at the time, a little higher now. Von Naeott Got my Female pup from them, Anna v. Naeott 13x SchH3, IPO3, FH2 H.O.T. 4x Regionals, 3x National. Very good dog at a Very good price. Shipping, paperwork no problems Eurosport K9 My friend just bought a dog from them. Heard from several people that bought dogs from them, very satisfied. Arditi Canine Agency Imported a SchH3, IPO3, FH2 female from them. She made 4thpl. Regionals and competed at Nationals. Had 2 litters, with 6 pups out of those litters excelling in the work at nearby clubs. Dog was exactly what they said it was. Very Good business dealings, fair price, shipping and paperwork without any problems. My friend also imported a couple dogs from them one he took to Regionals and Nationals. And last but not least, Tiekerhook kennels Can't say enough about them. Pups are a bit pricey but you can't go wrong with them. My friend's female at 10yrs old still comes in on the long bite like a rocket. For her age still going strong and healthy. Her sister also was a very strong bitch, powerful bites and certified FEMA S+R. Have a club member that has a 10month old Max son. Very powerful dog, serious. I bought pup from him as well as several friends, Shipping, paperwork etc no problems. Dogs always excelled in the work. There are many other good kennels out there, the ones I mentioned were kennels that I have first hand knowledge of. There will be people that have both good and bad comments regarding these kennels, but I haven't had any problems and had nothing but good business dealings with them. Uwe

My last pup I bought from Gieske Working Dogs at Colorado. Transaction went very smoothly, no frills, and the dog turned out as the breeder said he would. Had another friend who bought a dog from her and is similarly very pleased. Her dogs aren't overpriced, either.

This is great, a good positive post on kennels and breeders. I will add some myself: Sonja Markowski in Germany- bought several dogs from her. Always very honest and fair price. Have 6 puppies comming in from her on monday. We had to do a substtute on 2 of them as 2 of the original pups did not meet her high and ethical standards. Great person to deal with. Winfred Schmidt with Vom Braeuker Bach- bought to nice females from him. He definetly cares about the dogs as he emails me periodically to check up on them. Dagmar with Vom Roten Feld- sold me a real nice drivey female that has become my boys best friend. VHDOOSEK9- definetly agree with you on Tiekerhook- Friend of mine has a male out of them, really drivey dog, I like it alot. Hopefully we will hear from more people out there and keep this positive thread going. Mike

I'll offer some assistance in the importing process. If you found something you like. I'll help put the pieces together with the transaction. Find the dog you like. I can have it vet checked, the paperwork checked, Ownership, Ratings, DNA, Hip and elbow certification, titles, scores, etc. Working ability checked, the shipping arranged, and the payment given to the owner.

Over the years I have had business dealings with the following kennels and was treatyed very well in every way by them (forthright, honest, paperwork as promised, fair pricing): 1. Kirchenwald - Gayle Kirkwood (superior in every way-unbelievably knowledgeable) 2. Steiningtal - Larry Filo 3. Mittelwest - Julie Martinez

1. von Haus Barkus - Miriam Barkus Zambi isn't exactly out of her breedings, She owns the sire and imported the mother. At the time I was searching for a schutzhund dog... I didn't know who to pick... as I had first pick of the females..(The dam had 2 females) I've gave the honor of Miriam to choose the puppy for me, Since she has more knowledge than I. So far I thank god that I mave that decision because I'm so happy with Zambi.. Shes turning out to be a great schutzhund dog.. She loves her bitework, She loves obedince and she LOVES tracking. I'm very happy with Miriam Barkus in Davie Florida. I also gave the honor of using her kennel name (which I had permission) into registering Zambi with AKC. 2. vom Kirsys - Jose R Diaz This is the kennel of where I got my sec GSD, Jake from. I can make at least 10 pages of how happy I am with Jake and how he saved my life... At the time I was going thru a depression episode and needed a best friend to keep me company. I do not think I will ever again have another dog like Jake. He is very devoted to me... will fallow everywhere I go.. He is everything that I love in a German shepherd... Only thing that I do not like about him is the structure and the working drives, but other than that I'm so proud of Jake... as he was the first dog that I've trialed with... We earned our BH under a DVG Judge. Jake will always be attached to my heart until I go to the next life time :) I also Know a friend who owns a dog that came out of this kennel and shes a PISTOL.. unfortunatly she developed HD and ED (not too serious)... When the breeder heard the results he gave back all of the money that my friend spent on the dog. Very honest...
