By the way... when I came to vom Kirsys to pick up Jake... I picked up him and his AKC papers... I did not have to wait to get the papers.

by XTC on 13 August 2006 - 21:08

Brittany, Vom Kirsys does not sound like a kennel you should be recommending if he pproduced your Jake who you say needs better structure and working ability, and the dog your friend owns who has HD and ED. Yes, it is nice he bred a dog with an ok temperament and that he gave someone back their money, but should he be recommended for someone looking for a working dog?

This is one kennel I have dealty with in the past, and could not ask for a better bitch. She is fantastic in color, personality, and courage. Great working line pup. http://www.eastgermanshepherdpups.com/

Hi Brittany , So this does not go off on a negative tangent I want to commend you for your honest evaluation of your dog Jake. Few people are this honest. You gave us both the good about the kennel and shortcommings. So in doing so anyone decideing to look at dogs from them can make an informed descion. I would also guess that if they refunded the money to your friend that they probably would not do a repeat breediong of those particular dogs cause they would end up looseing money. Your comments on the kennels definetly stay within the topic " Kennels I have not Been Screwed By".

You got it, I am getting them out of both penny and Quecke. Tino throws some awsome pups I have a black female 10 months old from him "Quesy Vom Grafental" That pup was tracking me at 3 months nose to the ground and running.

XTC, I did not buy Jake for a sport/show/breeding dog. I'm not expecting him to have V structure or have 98 scores in schutzhund. as far as working dog... EDD in Afgan did not comment about any kennel that produced good working dogs... his topic says "Kennels I Have not Been Screwed By" As far as recommending him for someone looking for a working dog... well... For club level sure... My Jake does extremely well in tracking.. As I said before my friends dog (You can check her out at http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/478756.html )has pretty good drives, just that her hips and 1 of her elbow are holding her back into achieving Schutzhund..

Texomaland K9 in Lawton Ok. Owner Bill Jenkins. I purchased a sable workingline pup from him over a year ago. Told him what I wanted and it was exactly what I got. Very pleased with Bill and my pup. So nice to see positiveness here.
