Hi, I am buying my first puppy from Elaine Holt in Colorado from five peaks GS. I met her while working as a vet tech in Parker,CO. She has very nice shepherds, all german lines. She is a small breeder with two bitches and one stud dog. She is very careful how she breeds them and who gets her puppies. All her shepherds are very friendly even at the vets. She is very good at sending puppy pictures and stayign in contact with the new owners. She has one litter at a time and realy socializes the puppies. Her website is www.fivepeaksgsd.com.

Its lovely to hear all these positive recommendations.  Can anyone recommend any good working black or bi-colour stud dogs.  Preferably UK or Europe.  Ideally I would like a dog who is focused with great prey drive and a good nose but social with other animals and reasonably handler sensitive.   Thanks

No breeder in their right mind would push 2 or more dogs on one owner!!! Unless of course they had no buyers.  Just not a good thing to do...

Two more breeders that I would highly recommend  are......

Amy Schroedl - VomNeoHaus German Shepherds of Chicago, Illinois.  Her dogs ARE NOT  Kennel dogs and are raised underfoot with children. Mrs. Schroedl breeds to the SV Standard, dogs are titled and Koer Classed, and if the owner has questions, she goes out of her way to help them. Very picky as to where her pups go!  Health,, and Temperament are her main concern, also GOOD HOMES!

Her Web-Address is www.vomneohaus.com

Another breeder is Janet Contursi of Sturm und Drang German Shepherds in Chicago, Illinois. Janet does not have a Web-Site.  Owners of her dogs, have come to her by word of mouth.  Janet also breeds to the SV Standard. Dogs are titled and Koer Classed too! She has been breeding for many years, and all of her pups are also raised underfoot with children and are not Kennel dogs. Also very picky as to where her pups go.  Janet Contursi can be reached at 1-773-732-0888.

With the above mentioned breeders I have seen them work and in their home settings. The dogs are good representatives of the GSD.

neohaus~ if you were referring to my post, perhaps you should keep your mouth shut, before you speak of what you do not know. Oops too late now. I try to come on here to say something positive about a breeder and you have to turn it around? Why? There are 2 of us here able to handle dogs and one is a trainer/handler very capable person, able to title a dog. Chris had no problem selling his litter, his first priority was to place them in the most capable hands. He has talked to us extensively and knew of our plans and hope for his pups.

2 pups would have been too much for myself but I do have help! I am truly kicking myself for not grabbing a female but other litters will come and I can and will be snatching one up at that time.

Let me handle this one!

There are people on here that couldn't handle one dog.  I read some of the garbage on here and I wonder how these people even figured out how to turn their computer on.

I have been offered multiple dogs by numerous reputable breeders.  If you can handle one dog, then you can handle two.  It is merely a matter of time.  Sure, if the average family calls up and asks if they can buy two working dogs at once because they want them to grow up together and they don't want to go through puppies twice, then you have to question the decision.  I know countless people that have multiple dogs and puppies and they get by.  Like I said, it is a matter of having the time and space. The same can be said for one dog.  If you don't have the time or space, then you shouldn't even own one.   There is also a big difference if it is in the house or kennels.

I bought two pups at one time and Im not a trainer nor a schutzhund member.....I train horses, and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to raise two pups and do it right.

It takes time and money and effort....There have been millions of people in America raise pups (gsds) without the help of Schuthund and a dog trainer..........................

I highly recommend www.vombuflod.com   They not only helped me as a newbie find my pup but were extremely helpful and patiently answered all my questions. Later when unfortunately I had to sell they assisted again with NO money at stake for them. TRUE Professionals.

By the way they sold last years SG40 Yacco von der Vallendarer Hohe as a pup who was the littermate to our "Yago".

We had the choice and even after telling us Yacco was a definite superstar we chose Yago with NO regrets!!

Super people!!!
