A question to all experienced GSD Show enthusiasts and breeders. I have an 8 months old female puppy and we participated the Philippine 2011 Sieger Show last Saturday. As per the German judge SV Frank Goldlust (von Frankengold) my dog has an East West front feet. My question is, can I still correct them and how to correct the feet. Thanks

JoFay

You can teach the dog to stand straight.  Does the dog elbow out also?  If so, I'd think once the chest drops, the elbows should come in and the feet might straighten out.  I know I've been told that sometimes it takes whelping out a litter to get the chest to come down but obviously 8 months is far too young to think about that as a solution.

Others will have more input I'm sure.

Thank you birdwing for your input. To tell you honestly I am a newbie in dog show that is why I still need to know and ask from you guys althoug since 1992 I owned locally bred GSDs for pet. Does it mean it is not a permanent fault?
