Have you noticed any difference in the salmon oil caps versus the fish oil caps?  Which is better for our dogs?  Also are you all using a Vit E capsule along with either of these caps?  Thx  Nan

I've never used anything but salmon oil so I have nothing to compare it to but YES it improves my dogs' coat and skin.  I currently don't use any other supplements.  If their skin seems dry and flaky I start salmon oil and see results very fast.  Now they are getting it daily as we head into winter (dry, dry air).  I've never used capsules, the stuff I have is in a pump like handsoap and I give them several pumps on their largest meal.

I have used both. Right now I am using the fish oil caps from Costco (Kirkland brand). My dogs have very nice coats. When I am done with these fish oil caps from Costco I may go back to the Salmon oil.

it's a good idea to rotate between brands and types of fish/salmon/sardine/anchovy oils for variety and to avoid building up a tolerance.  not necessary to rotate them daily or weekly though.  when you're done using a bottle of one type, weeks-months-etc, just buy a bottle of another type.

I always just use molecularly distilled fish oil from any species.
