Why in the heck is there so much trouble when ordering gear from companies that specialize in K9 equipment. Honestly almost ever time I have ordered from any place there has been some sort of issue with the exception of Hallmark K9 which I am 2/2 success on and have answered the phone quickly when I called them.


My dog busted her collar last training cause it was a standard pet collar, so I decided I would get her a nice working dog collar and so my search began. I also needed a working harness, I personally prefer the Nylon ones that you easily slip on and off I know some don't like them but I do, regardless. So I looked everywhere found the collar I most liked and harness I liked and decided I would place the order. I looked to see if they had air mail because I needed these things before Saturday which a few days away since it was Wednesday.

The website said they offered it as an option but then when I tried to place the order online, surprise it would not let me select any option what so ever. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me from different sites. So I call the lady that answers can hardly speak english, no problem though I ask to place an order. She tells me that the "specialist" that takes orders is out and will be back tomorrow...Ok so I call back on Thursday kinda nervous I need this by Saturday but ok if it goes out next day will still have it on time. Same Lady answers I ask to speak to the order specialist, she tells me I can take the order...ok a bit pissed but whatever I place the order. She tells me they will email me the confirmation in an hour, 3 hours pass I call she acts like she never talked to me ever. I explain the situation and am told don't worry we will send it in a couple of hours, 4 hours pass I call back same thing pretends she has no idea who I am same lady as always explain and she says a specialist will call me tomorrow...

Today I call first thing in the morning I plead with the same lady telling her look, if there is no order on file no biggy I will pay for same day air just get me my damn gear. She pulls the same thing says she will have a specialist call me, I call back an hour later same thing I tell her look I WANT to pay you money you have not yet charged my card I put the order in yesterday and have been trying since Wednesday to get this done. She says no worry the manager will call me. I called back 2 hours later was told she could see no order and that she cannot take the order because it must be taken to the specialist, I flip, I ask to speak to the damn specialist now, she tells me they can't cause they are busy and that they will call me tomorrow. I told them NO I need the gear tomorrow, and that now it was too late. She asked me who I was AGAIN, I canceled the order (which was likely never placed to begin with)

I HATE this, does any one know where to get nice looking more fancy leather dog working collars and a good Nylon harness???? A place that you know can be trusted, I do not mind paying good money for a good product and good service. Is there any K9 supply company that knows what the heck it is doing? Thank you all and soo, soo sorry for my rant, I am just so frustrated.

The name of the company I dealt with is K9 Equipment Store. Any good company I can get a nice lookin Leather working dog collar for my girl would be highly appreciated

I completely understand your frustration.

I recommend K9 Dynamics (http://www.k-9dynamics.com/index.php).

I pay regular shipping and the package is at my door (in Ontario) within 3 business days. Emails are promptly returned; I have never phoned them so I can't comment on their phone manner. I'm sure others will recommend less expensive places but I know that if I order from these folks that I'll receive my exact order within the week. I've had experience in the past with chasing after online dog gear vendors and I don't want to go through the hassle ever again.

I would have gone through Hallmark but what I wanted was not there lol. I am going to order a couple of things from K9 Dynamics too. Thank you guys, after such an aweful week I had to turn to here for some advice

Another company that is new to the equipment field is K9 Power. I have ordered my dogs supplements from here for YEARS. I have NEVER had a bad experience. These people are active in the SchH field too.. I can not say enough good things about K9 power..

I've ordered multiple times (each) from Hallmark, Bridgeport, and EliteK9 and have never had any problems.  If you want something you don't see on their web site, maybe call and see if they have it or can get it for you easier than dealing with a foreign company/speaker.

I've always had great success with hallmarkk9.com.  Try giving them a call, not everything is on their website.
