What is the point of posting a dog on here with NO pedigree information? I know that some distant relatives may be unknown, but first? Just curious.

I'm wondering how I GET "no information" in there. I'm trying to register a dog of mine on the database and while her top side is all in the database, it's patchy on her dams' side. I'm getting lost in windows trying to go back 6/7 generations with birthdates and registration #'s I don't have. How do you enter "no information" and get it to accept the dog?

In the missing parent's name write just "no information aboot a sire/dam". This option is useful when you very distant family and parents of those are missing (up to 3 generations). Other think is not so rare the name of parent is just wrong wrote in 1 or 2 litters and you can't find correct dog. Then if you have pedigree search for grandparents, search in theirs progeny. If there's no dog with simple name, then you can register missing dog if its parents are known in database.

Thanks, Nanami. Is there a work-around when you KNOW a dog is in the database, but for some reason when you go to enter progeny, it doesn't find it? I've checked spelling carefully, spaces, etc. so that's not it. It gives me an alphabetical listing of 50 dogs, none of which are correct of course. I have several instances of this. I can use the "search" feature and find the dog, it just doesn't want to find it on the registering feature.
