Can we prevent ticks by applying front line spot for the pregnant bitch. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I use Frontline once a month regardless. My vet says it has no adverse effect on the pups. My understanding is it is a non-issue.

Frontline is labeled as safe for pregnant females.

Wow, thanks folks..... I just read my Frontline package, they must have done more testing because when it first came out, it wasn't labeled like this.. this is great news!!
Years ago (and I mean many), the only product labeled safe for pregnant females was Defend

What about Ex-spot? That works better for my dogs, is that ok too or should I use Front-line instead during pregnancy?

check the label - Frontline is labeled safe for pregnant females, I wouldn't use any product that wasn't labeled as being safe. I use Bio-spot too, but not on pregnant females since it is not labeled as safe, to my knowledge.

I used frontline on my pregnant female once it is safe. Anyway you should always check on the label of the product if its safe for pregnant female.
