There is no cheap way to treat it. Although Ive heard the medicine is much cheaper today then it was when I had my dog, I wouldnt wish this on anyone. I would like to know if there are any herbs that can be used in replace of the pancreatic enzymes along with raw diet.  This one disease is  what got me into raw so for that Im greatful. Otherwise its a heartbreaking conditon.

Good luck with this dog.

there is a cheap way , if you feed your dogs raw meat , just add a little  cowpancreas to your meal everyday , this adds pancreatic enzymes

Check out the webpage www.epi4dogs.com  They have a lot of good information on the disease.  Also you can purchase enzymes at a reduced rate at www.enzymediane.com

I wouldn't say EPI, etc. is expensive to treat and maintain.  The butcher from whom we get our beef for our dogs saves all of the steer pancreas for a Veterinarian whose client has an EPI dog and is on a raw diet.  The dog has improved leaps and bounds and leads a relatively-normal life.

flashbang , I guess many people think if its cheap , its no good , I sell raw meat and have quite a few clients I provide with cowpancreas , it works perfect , also for some people I mix it trough the complete fresh foods , works wonders
