So if a club charges $400.00 to $600.00 for a family with four dogs is this common?

At Central of Alabama we charge $150 initiation fee which includes membership into USA, and then $20 per month. However our overhead cost is very low. I know of other clubs that are in that range you mention, and some that are less. It all depends on the overhead cost of Lights, Grass cutting, Rent of the field, Insurance, Regional dues, ect.
Even at $600 that is $50 per month, $12.50 per dog. That is pretty cheap for access to a field, instruction, helper work, and distractions.

Wardawg hit the nail on the head. The initial number sounds expensive but what other family activity can you do for a year for that price. Some clubs with big names charge as much as 5k per year. You are getting a bargain. Pay them now before the price goes up, lol.
