I have a 2 week old litter of showline puppies that we hope will have sensational drives and working ability. I posted an ad on several sites and got the following email in response to the ad. I'm wondering if this is the scam where they send you more than the asking price and then request a refund and in the interim the original check bounces and the puppy is usually already sent. Your opinions? Thanks Judy Here is the email I received: I saw your profile online that you are will to SELL your posted puppies and immediately I got so fascinated about having on of the puppies. I am an honest, caring Woman with the utmost fear of God. Having the puppy is like owning a fortune and the thought of me makes my vein leap for joy because i really Love puppies. I will like you to foward to me the LAST COST PRICE so as i can make payment sent to you as soon as possible.I will have my Shippers Company comes for the Pick-Up as soon as the Payment is Cleared from the Bank. Will email you the Shippers Companies Email address when you got the payment for the puppy.

This is a common scam although the message may vary some. You might want to post the entire message, including the header and the supposed name of the person sending this to you so that every one can be advised. Several unknowing people on this board have been taken by such emails in the past.

LOVE THY SHEPHERD

by LOVE THY SHEPHERD on 15 June 2006 - 04:06

i use to get scammer e-mails all the time. i even went as far as calling the FBI THEY SAID THAT THEY GET SO MANY DAILY, IT'S BETTER TO JUST IGNORE THEM ! THEY ALWAYS AS "WHATS THE LAST PRICE " MOSTLY ON PUPPYFIND. I EVEN GOT A FAKE CHECK FROM SOMEONE. WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DOG/PUPPY MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE PERSONS INFO. AND ESPECIALLY A PHONE NUMBER, IF THEY ARENT WILLING TO GIVE YOU ALL OF THIS INFO. THEN LOOK ELSEWHERE !!

by Melissa on 15 June 2006 - 15:06

That is a typical 419 scam. Usually, they are already scamming someone else out of their money. They will have a person send YOU the money and then you send them the goods, in this case puppies. Tens of thousands of people have been scammed out of millions of dollars, some of them have even been murdered over these 419 scams. My husband is involved in shutting down fake banks from these people. It's a horrible thing that these people are doing. Check out this website: http://www.419eater.com/ Aside from that.. if I got an email from someone claiming how much they love puppies and god, they are probably a complete idiot and should not own one of my dogs. Good luck!
