snap dragon: my subject was the female cc winner but if you want my opionion on the male cc.... it too was a worthy winner !! If you want the commitee to ommit their animals from the show should this also include main sponsors, rossette sponsors, class sponsors and possibly even friends of the above ?? how big would the entry be ?? a large entry i hear you say !! , but all the people mentioned above obviously have a great interest in this breed and most have years of good stock and invaluable breeding lines... if you exclude these exhibitors are the animals that win of the same quality ??

KOBO I totally understand what you say but many many shows these days including the weekend show have committee members showing their dogs and yes i do think they shouldn't. I believe that rosette sponsors, class sponsors etc would be going a bit far but anyone with a direct link to the club and choosing of judges should not show their dogs at their own shows. Maybe the entry would be bigger if people werent already told who would win the CC as they normally do.

maybe someone from the committee can confirm if committee members were allowed or not allowed to show their dogs at this event, if not why were their entries accepted, if they are allowed no wrong has been done.

Snapdragon -- you have a point -- but as i have learned -- the show are about people .. really not the dogs -- and try as we might forget about changing human nature --that is why i no longer show my Larus son , larus daughter or my karthago son , and for a working dog he is rated V and would give the show dogs a good run for the money so to speak -- not worth it to me anymore

BTW -- no sour grapes or misgivings here -- if you just read my precious post -- just for the record -- my larus duaghter was invited to go to germany to be shown --- i declined --- and was shown only once in america, which she placed well -- i bow out of politics -- i think if you have any comnection to an event -- competition or show -- you should not even consider entering your dog -- don't worry your dog will still love you tomorrow

Alphapup - No sour grapes here either I was just trying to get a point across and you seem to be the only person who could see what i was saying. I as well as everyone else take the best dogs home at the end of the day but TOTALLY AGREE that if you have any connections to a show you shouldn't show your dogs there. No matter what we think though it won't change things will it?
