Youre right you can find them....very easily.

You will find you an oversized, longcoat, low drive gsd from a bad breeder.

And you wont have to look very far!

Thats the sad part!

I hope you THINK long and hard about NOT buying from this kennel.  First of all, you ask a board full of  Experienced Straight to the core , german shepherd breeders who do not believe in doing what this kennel does by promoting GSD that will not be HEALTHY when you do this kind of mixing just what ever LOOKS GOOD and IS POPULAR>  IT doesn't work that way. You ask for a TRUTHFUL opinion, so being I have over 35 years of experience in BREEDING...I can say that the first thing is HEALTHY, which there is no way they will be, and  destroying the GENUINE purpose of the GSD is second important factor, and IMPROPER STRUCTURE and CONFIRMATION is the third factor. You cannot breed like this kennel does and NOT destroy the GENE POOL and come up with distortions of all kinds.   If you are just satisfied with just a dog, then that is what you will be buying. No breeder wants that kind of GOAL in their Program of HIGH EXCELLENCE...OUR MOTTO IS: " HEADS ABOVE THE REST" as breeders of a ROYAL , and Distinctive Breed the German Shepherd must be bred to the Standard that has been set for years and should be followed closely. Since you ask, this is for you to rethink and do some research. We live in a free world, but as in How you Live, What you do, What you produce and How you handle your life is always going to have an Ending and a consequence and an OUTCOME. AIM for the Best, and make sure it is the Best or you will be buying the years of heartache and costly maintaining something that will only be just WHAT SOMEONE made you believe was only half acceptible.

Good post Yellowrose. I agree 100%!

If you want a long coat GSD then my suggestion is to contact a reputable breeder that breed GSDs to the STANDARD and see if they have any long coats. There are alot of lines that carry the long coat., so sooner or later a long coat will show up in one of these litters. So maybe a good breeder would have a long coat pup that you would be interested in. Alot of the time these (reputalble) breeders will sell the LC pups at a discount. This way you are getting what you want and are still supporting the breeders that breed to the STANDARD.
As to your question about Ayers Long Coats. I have never purchased one from them and never will. But I will say that the dogs look well loved. They are WAY overweight though and that is not good on the joints.
In the end you will do what you want to, that is a decision YOU will have to live with. All of us here can only give you advise and you will take what you want.
So good luck on getting what you want! I really do mean that! Just sit down and think of what you are doing BEFORE you purchase a pup. Think long and hard if the decision you are making is GOOD for the breed!! Because in the end it is up to US (humans) to help preserve this wonderful breed as it should be.

I agree nothing more irritating than someone ruining this breed!

You know what OP... go ahead, buy that dog becasue nobody here can stop you.
You are not listening to what people have to say.. they pretty much told you that you are not buyng a GSD if you buy this dog.. so you migh as well find a big, mellow hairy dog in a shelter, God knows those are hard to find homes for since they are expensive to keep up with. Especially, when the hips give out when they are 4 years old..

Happy whatever!

So I'm looking for a Ferrari. But it has to be as big as a Hummer, as roomy as a Chevy Express cargo van, four wheel drive like a Jeep, and as cheap as a used Honda. But it has to be a Ferrari.  *facepalm*

Honestly? Look at Shilohs. I really think it would be a better match for you, what you are asking for is an incorrectly bred GSD. Another great option would be checking out your local GSD rescue, you may find just what you're looking for without lining the pockets of disreputable breeders.

Someone posted that they had a GSD, who's father was a King Shepherd..?....technically then...your dog is not really a GSD....rather a "mix of GSD & other"....?!
Why not just support the breeders of "GSD- looking" dogs...like the Kings & Shilohs?

HA....."The Kings & The Shilohs"....I had to laugh....sounds like a couple of gangs!!

I agree with GSDpack! Go buy one. 90% of the breeders here breed garbage, so it won't be hard to find what you're looking for. Plus, you'll be saving the pup from eventually ending up in the pound. What you are describing is a Shiloh. Nothing makes me cringe more than when I hear that someone wants a dog based solely on appearance and believes the tempermant is totally different than the breed standard. This is the # 1 reason there are so many dogs in shelters.
