Heard it yesterday, too. He was asked by a reporter if he wanted another dog. He isn't trying to petition to allow himself for another. He was asked and answered that his kids would like one.

Kczaja, please read my post above. He's not asking for anything. He answered a question from a reporter. This is getting taken out of context and blown out of proportion.

In an interview with NBC News and TheGrio.com, Vick said, "I would love to get another dog in the future. I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process.

"I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could. My daughters miss having one, and that’s the hardest thing: telling them that we can’t have one because of my actions."

Exactly. He was asked by the media. He is not asking to own one. What do you want him to say if asked? He is not the one that started this. He was asked a question and I believe he answered it the best way he could have.

Don, I read the article hodie linked when it was released and it isn't any less nauseating for me a few days later. He makes it sound like he overcame some great obstacle instead committing the heinous crimes he was convicted for. The whole thing reeks of BS to me.
