The thought of that happening to my sweet, sweet Echo just makes my blood boil. That poor dog was sooo sweet. Chico did not deserve this. We got justice for Buddy. Can we get justice for Chico? Anyone know of a site where we can sign a petition?

They tied him down to the train tracks?! Whether dead, or alive....that is OBSCENE and horrific. Whoever did this is extremely disturbed and needs to be locked up....can you imagine how perverse this person would have to be to do all of this....then to deliver the body......this is just too grotesque for words. The poor family, I cannot fathom how they must be feeling. I'm apalled!

As for being mistaken for wolves...Before a person passes judgment on a dog, they should at least trouble to learn enough about dogs to be able to have a clue what the breed is. Huskies, other than color, don't really look like wolves at all to me, not even close.
Also, I've never met a mean Husky. I suppose there are some, but I've never met one. No excuse to hurt him so, I'd imagine, which again, is why I tend to lean toward kids.

CrysBuck I have a few Huskies, I've trained Huskies for other people, and have been around more than I can count. The only mean Husky is an unsocialized Husky. I'm curious, do any of these resemble wolves at all to you? These are older pictures, but these are mine. You haven't been around the public much have you? I can't tell you how many people mistake Sierra for a hybrid, but let alone how many people think a lot of Huskies resemble wolves. Move to a redneck city and you'll find plenty of uneducated rednecks lol.....which is sad, they'll shoot and then boast about the trophy they got.

I have been around the public; there, you're wrong. I know how bloody ignorant people can be. I even spent a summer working in the animal shelter. The ignorance I saw there was astounding.
I realize knowledge of dog breeds is something most people don't have, even those who work with dogs. But the way I see it, if you are going to decide to kill a dog based on its breed, you should at least be man enough to know what breed it is!
Of course, there are the rednecks you spoke of, but to me, it has nothing to do with where you grew up...if you're ignorant, you're ignorant. There are big cities full of them, and small towns, all across this planet.
I still don't believe the dog was killed because some crazy redneck decided to get him a wolf. A backwoods boy who was wantin' him a wolf trophy would have shot the dog, not tied it down on a railroad track and let it get cut in half by a passing train. I still say that smacks of the cruelty of teens...
Regardless, a human being capable of doing that to a dog shouldn't be allowed around other humans!!!

My heart goes out to the dog and his owners, for all the suffering that has been caused, but i dout if the persons who did this will ever recieve enough punishment for what they did , I do hope karma gets them and what ever it is i do hope they suffer a very long time
