My boy has a black spot on the back of his tongue. He is a dark sable shepherd. I heard a while back it was because he had been stung by a bee or something. Everyone has an explanation but it is just a birthmark. I do like the previous life folklore though.
Bosco must be part cattle dog too because he is sable also..and we know they don't come in that color, lol.

Two moons, the mark of Anubis? Are you referring to the Egyptian god of the dead? Irony of Anubis.......I named my GSD Anubis before he even arrived here. The night I picked him up at the airport the guy comes out and asks me what I'm here for. I said a dog......the next person, a body......the next person...a body..... Anubis the god of the dead.....accompanied by two dead bodies in cargo......Doesn't get much more weird than that. They were flown in for a funeral. Aside from that Anubis also has a black mark on his tongue.
