In 2002 i sent my GSD to be trained for his BH, dog was gone for two month, today checking his pedigree i find that the people who i left my dog with bred him and was able to get AKC registration on the litter, this is all news to me, I never gave permission nor signed any papers that went to the AKC. i guess people cannot be trusted.

Piper, that can not be done, unless you sign the litter application as his owner....UNLESS, you signed an agreement listing them as your authorized agent.  That MAY BE the only way it can be done without  your signature.  Definitely check into it with AKC.....

WOW that's terrible. I didn't know that they can do that. I need to check with AKC.

Please note i signed nothing, this was done without my knowledge, somebody signed my name.have written the AKC and waiting on a reply to see what goes.

Or the litter can be registered online if they have a copy of the akc papers on the male that shows the certificate issue date. Never give out copies of your dogs registration certificate without blocking that date out as that is akc's way of verifying ownership for online transactions.

Piper, Please keep us updated when you hear back from AKC. That process may take some time as, nothing happens quickly with AKC....If it was done illegally, which I believe you, that would mean puppies registered from that breeding could be affected. That would be terrible, because innocent buyers could be affected also.....Than on the other hand, AKC may just allow the transaction to stand, but just take action against the person who forged your signature.  Either way, a trust issue has been tampered with....Sad, REALLY sad....

Never give any one  a copy of  your AKC registration without blocking out the   issue date on the certificate. That is the date on the right lower side that anyone can use to online register your dog as the sire of any litter they want to...they forge the questions and lie..but what is two lies when they have to tell one to get it done.??????  and this is not the only lie and falsehood people do when you send a sire away for breeding...I know..When I was training with Harris Co  So. Houston, we know all about a certain large kennel that if they board your sire, he gets bred to one of their dogs...they do not use your dogs name or cert..but your dog is the sire of the litter...he doesn't get caught because he uses his own litter registrations and you do not get an akc paperwork until you have bred and given him back a certain number of pups...then you may or may not ever get an akc paper..he always has one excuse and then another.  The akc paperwork remains in his files..and akc knows he does this..you sign a contract stating you agree to this...so he is legit in his wang wang stuff.

YR, I imagine people do it everyday. The OP proves that....What I meant was, It can't be done legally.  I guess my statement was like having having a conversation and saying to someone. "Oh, You can't do that."  Thats what I meant.  Actually anyone can do anything. Its just a matter of, if we sit back and accept it, or do we do something about it..... Yes it can be done if we allow to be done....

Good luck. A friend of mine had a similar issue with a forged signature. She called AKC and filed a complaint. AKC didn't do much. I think they tagged the papers on the dog, but that was about it. Overall, very disappointing at how little AKC did. They claimed that they couldn't prove who forged the signature and thus, couldn't punish or suspend anyone.
