Am sure someone will be along soon to give you their personal experiences and ideas on how to correct him when he bites, barks and blocks your female.

Having a dominant dog can be a good thing or a bad thing.I personally like dominant dogs they tend to be more protective over the family. And they are also excellent watch dogs!!! I have a 2 year old dominant male german shepherd everyone told me he needed this and that(training my ass) why the hell would i hire some crappy ass "professional" trainer(if u even want to call them that there so sucky) who doesn't even know what there doing???
I'll tell you what you need to know this is how i trained my boy Assassin into a Big Bad A$$ ; ]
#1 When you go for a walk bring a bag of treats with you and when he barks at a stranger tell him he's a good boy and give him a treat. Also always encourage aggressive behaver!!!
#2 Play tug with him and push his side to make him growls at you.oh and always let him win at tug it builds up his confidence.
#3 Feed your dog raw food...just like how they used to train pitbulls to fight.once they get the taste of blood they always want more.
#4 Spoil your dog treat him like a king and let him bit and hump your female, let him keep her in her place. That way you'll have a good stud if you want to breed.
#5 Have a friend come over to beat your dog with a stick. It will teach him how to hate people even more
#6The last and most inportant rule of all...NEVER NEVER let ANYONE PET YOUR DOG!!!!!!!!
You never want your dog to think that strangers are nice. You want your dog to think that all people except your family are bad!
Anyway i hope these 6 steps will help you turn your dog into a Dominant people hating moster! Good Luck! : ]
oh i was wondering if you could post up a picture of your dog? if you would like i could post a picture of my dog to.
Not to be mean but i hope you don't have one of those ugly DDR dogs...uhhhgg i just can't stand them.
sorry if you do.

DO you think that's Maggs? She doesn't know enough about dogs to put 3 stupid tips on a list never mind 6. If the list said lock the dog in a kennel all day then in a crate all night I'd agree with you.
Michaelambernick,
On a more serious note those are all dominant traits. I would be concerned about this and nip it the bud. You dog at this young age feels dominant and in his mind the female does not deserve your attention, only the alpha should get all of the attention. Your female must be very patient to put up with this. I would separate them at feeding time before he gets hurt. I would also not put up with him barking or biting the female when you pet her. He is probably showing his dominance in other areas such as guarding his toys or food.
Don't get me wrong I like dogs that act this way, especially as pups. My male scrapes the ground so hard after peeing and pooping he makes dust clouds, tear the grass up and leaves huge divots. However, I do not tolerate that behavior in my house with my female. I raise my dogs from pups to either compete in SchH or like my current dog as my K9 partner. He knows better than to act them way in front of me with my other dogs or with me. What's cute at 30 lbs isn't as cute or as funny at 80 lbs.
JMO FWIW,
Jim
