Hello all, Question here, when going thru many of the pedigrees on this database I see in many dogs backrounds (including my own) the male VA1 (N) Natz vom Steigerhof Oddly enough there are no comments to speak of about this dog. He is listed in the "Highest Number Of Progeny" section at #11 with 1235 registered offspring. So I guess my question(s) is/are why do you never hear about this one and How much influence was he? Anyone here ever see/ work with him in person? Just curious what he was like Thanks

Yes I have seen his offspring. Lots of very nice dogs too. But my question really was why dont you hear a lot about him? How much influence was he? And did anyone here (On this board) ever see/work with him in person who might have a few thoughts they could share about him.

I don't think I will be very helpful, but I too have noticed very little in writing about this dog. I had litter with a 4-4 linebreeding on Natz. What I have heard from this dog, is that he was a very strong and clear headed animal. Someone mentioned he was very large and was exported to the United Kingdom as a Police K-9. Of course, I don't know if this is true or not. All I can say is that the puppies, a litter of 10, all have shown an inate desire to please, are very smart, easy to train and have plenty of prey drive. One puppy in particular with excellent nerves and a genetic full grip. Very self-assured and inquisitive puppies who show a remarkable orientation toward their humans. Temperaments were all sound and all passed vet exams with flying colors. Good strong hearts. I intend to do a repeat breeding in a year because of the temperaments and health on these pups.

Yes,true never heard much about him, but his one son stands out Baru Haus Yu. I have done a very close breeding on Baru Haus Yu 3-2. Lets see what comes out.

One must then certainly add Chipsi van de Herdersfarm, VA1 BSZS 2000 and VA13 1999 Heilei's True-Love. Natz had 28 suns/daughters participating in the BSZ 1999 and 17 in 2000 (featuring his fourth progeny-group).
