RLHAR...   I have never had a bad experience with the breed and IMO from what I have experienced, think they make good family pets....JMO..based on JMO...that's all....

I think any breed of dog can be a good family pet, if that dog is properly managed and handled.

The boxer from yesterday is a spoiled rotten brat.  Her owner only uses 'gentle' correction methods and in this case the dog was completely taking advantage of the situation and becoming a liability.

Boxer's can be the sweetest dogs if properly trained and managed.  The 4h dog project in my county has discouraged Boxer's taking part in training due stereotyping.  This is not fair.  Boxer's are smart and rarely attack unless provoked, neglected, or abused.  My boxer has been a foster mom to several baby Pygmy goats and other baby animals. However,  "Blame the owner and not the dog".
