Interesting...

LOL- ok, I have 2. The only 2 I've ever bred!

The first was V. Capri vom Hagenberg w/ V Ron vom Ludwigseck, a 50/50 West/East litter in which I did better than I could've hoped for in terms of how the pups turned out. I was hoping for "real" dogs w/a degree of hardness not seen so much anymore in sport lines. I also wanted to keep excellent structure in there because so often, when people breed for aggression or hardness, structure, pigment, and overall conformation seem to go out the window and we get that bleached- out coyote look. Capri is a Metin grand daughter and carries the structure that the Stadtfeld dogs are known for. I see no reason, if we're truly trying to improve the breed, not to try to improve on ALL levels- physical attributes as well.

Pups were exceptional. 9 of them, all in working homes except for 2 who are in very experienced homes but probably will not be titled. Structure was great all around- a few were really phenomenal. Temperament was excellent- but not great pets for the most part. They were wonderfully balanced and stable, but just  "a lot of dog" for the  most part and a few needed very experienced handlers. Elkoorr.......are you reading this? LMAO.

The most prominent thing that stood out was how strongly Capri had imprinted her temperament on the pups, particularly the females. The entire next litter was sold based on the people who had met or worked the previous pups and were blown away at the strong temperament of the girls. One daughter did the IKC protection demonstration at 8mos. old. Yeah, I know, it's just an IKC show, but there were thousands of people there and just the fact that an 8 month old female was the demo dog made me proud.

Next litter was a more similar pairing- Capri w/V Chico vom Inheidener See. This was a linebreeding on the T litter von der Bosen Nachbarschaft (Troll and Timmy) and again, Capri really left her mark on the pups. Very similar to the last litter, though probably a tad "sportier" for lack of a better word. Don't think that they won't eat your @ss and hand it to you on a platter though; what I mean is that while they were extremely "real," they had that flash and intensity that would score w/high level judges.

Great topic.

B litter vom GrimOrkie

To-Fast Enzo x V Jazzmine vom Ausland

Linebreeding - 5 generations
•4 - 5............................................. in V Troll von der bösen Nachbarschaft

•5 - 5............................................. in SG Verwin vom Blitsaerd

•4 - 5,4........................................... in G Orry von Haus Antverpa

•5 - 5............................................. in Steffi v. Tiekerhook

All very similar, full, calm, hard grips came geneticly, very solid dogs all together.

Of course I think I got the best dog in the litter but would have taken any one of them home. I hear they are all doing well for their owners.

LOL... Jen, yes I am reading this and can attest to it.

I have gotten a great pup out of Jen's first litter. Very fast strong hard bites, even impressed my trainer (and he is not as easily impressed) Great natural retrieves. The only dog in the club that actual runs up to the dumbell stand and helps himself to one so we can play dumbell. However, he is a hard dog, very headstrong and requires patience and a firm but fair hand. Structure wise he can go V eventually; made VP3 at the Regional show. I would say his teperament is balanced with a good chunk of aggression in it. He can be outright nasty.
