Look at this beautiful girl in a rescue and the explanation of why she is there. Makes my blood boil.

More About Inni.Inni is a 7 year old shepherd imported from Germany she is papered however we do not give those out. Her hips were screened well in Germany however we do not know how they are now. Inni has had a very rough life so far. She was used for breeding until recently. Inni is schutzund titled confirmation rating. She was surrendered to us by the breeder with a tumor that was believed to be cancerous. Inni is great with other dogs especially ones that are younger than her. She would not do well in a home with a dominant female. Inni is great with kids. She has been around a 7 and 9 year old children. Inni is a very sweet girl. She would love a home to just lay back and retire in. She does enjoy short walks and a fenced in yard would be great for her. Please only serious inquires. .Inni is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neute

Can't blame 'irresponsible pet owner' for this one, Nanci--the BREEDER who owned her surrendered her to rescue, according to the Petfinder listing for her.
Edited to add: She's with a rescue in the Chicago, IL area, so it's reasonable to figure she was with an IL breeder...wonder who the callous SOB is dumped her?

They use her up then pawn her off onto a rescue- Rescues are for rescuing dogs truly in need, not for taking responsibility off the hands of idiot breeders. Ugh. It would be one thing for the breeder to re-home her themself, but this is wrong.

Most breeders are also notorious for not standing by their dogs, when things go wrong. Just ask the rescues. Don't pick on us nice pet people!

GRRRR!!! This type of stuff makes me furious. Sadly this happens all too often. She is a very pretty girl and with some TLC she will be gorgeous. I sure hope she ends up in the kind of wonderful loving forever home that she deserves.

Louise, I'm not sure what your point is here. If you're thinking she wasn't a breeding animal that's been discarded to a rescue:

I've got no issues with re-homing a retired brood bitch--but you don't use up the limited resources of rescue groups to do that...you handle it yourself, if you're responsible.
