Hello,
We are a little group near Sturgis, SD.
We are playing schutzhund allready, but we are tinking there might be people out there that are interested in it, or want to do it or allready doing it and are looking for more people, too.
We do have a Certified Helper, but we could use more people and or more helpers.
We like to expand so we can form a club.
So anybody interested in playing Schutzhund with us, in western South Dakota?

Absolutely!  Count me in from Spearfish, SD!

It's amazing, when I was looking to buy my next GSD, it seemed there was nothing in the area.  After getting my girl, it's amazing how I just happened to find several people in the area!  I'm very excited about getting involved in forming a club.

We have enough bodies theoretically to form a club, but it would sure be nice to have some more people!  Anyone from the Black Hills and surrounding areas?  I've heard a couple people from just over the border in Wyoming are interested.  Anyone else?

I've tried on and off for 8 years to find folks interested in working dogs/forming a working dog or sch club to no avail and I'm talking ALL of wyoming (I'm in central wyoming).
There are no working dog clubs or schutzhund clubs within a 10 hour weekend drive of here currently and it is really rough for me and my dogs to socialize and train.  I've found the best I can do in this area is CGC's , Therapy Dog and Assistance dog training besides the option of agility and of course complete home obedience/not formal.
I'll bookmark this post and see how you folks do. Best of luck to you, you have good population in Rapid and a few parts of your area so you just may make it!

Contact Carol Boche in Martin SD.  She regularly hosts for schutzhund and mondio ring training at her training facility.

Hare Valley:
This is how we started.... nothing hard to find anybody... We are a mixed group right now, training, as said by jayne. We have the boddies, but we feel we need to be more to pull off the club thing. We slowly start finding people atleast willing to stop by and take a look into it. We hope some will stick.

Derylehret:
Yes, we know them and keep in touch. But Martin is quite a ways away, and most of us aren't able to make that trip every weekend, nor can we expect to have them come up here every weekend. It would be nice if it would be closer....

Our group wants to focus on Schutzhund, and we like to form a Club so we do not have to drive- as Hare Valley- says always 7h and more to get to a trail....
