No matter what else comes from this, the guy should not remain in law enforcement.
I've seen cops do worst to a suspect, not all cops, but two I know of first hand.
This behavior carries on in other aspects of the individuals life and they need help, not power over others and a gun.

Maybe he should be sentenced to someone kicking him in the ribs the same way.
